Frances A. Farley, M.D
University of Michigan CS Mott Children’s Hospital

Frances A. Farley, M.D. is a Professor and Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan and Assistant Surgeon-in-Chief of Mott Children’s Hospital. Her interests are congenital scoliosis, cervical spine, and pediatric trauma. Dr. Farley received her B.A. from Duke University and received her M.D. from Cornell University. She did her residency at the University of Michigan and a Fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. She served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.

 

Lori Karol M.D.
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

Lori Karol, M.D. is a staff orthopaedist and Medical Director of Performance Improvement and the Movement Science Lab at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan. Dr. Karol completed her general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine. She also completed the Harrington Fellowship of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Scoliosis at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 1991. Dr. Karol is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and is an active staff member at Children’s Medical Center at Dallas.

 

Walid Yasser M.D.
Children’s Hospital of Michigan DMC

Walid Yasser, M.D. is the chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Vice Chief of Staff at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan DMC. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn College of Medicine in 1995. He completed is Internship at New England Medical Center Hospitals in General Surgery in 1996 and went on to complete his residency training at Tufts Affiliated Hospitals in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2000 . Dr. Yasser underwent Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery fellowship training at Children’s San Diego, University of California San Diego School of Medicine in 2001.
